The Ammonite ACCU THERMO battery pack is designed to efficiently and reliably power heated dive clothing and umbilical cable dive lights operating at 12V.
With simple and intuitive control, high efficiency, and maximum possible durability, the Ammonite ACCU THERMO battery pack stands out from other devices on the modern diving equipment market.
The Ammonite ACCU THERMO battery pack has two connection ports located on the top of the housing. One port, with a permanently installed E/O cable (wet connector cables), is intended only for heated dive clothing. The power for the heating system has a three-stage control with the following ranges: 0 / 70% / 100%.
This port is equipped with the so-called smart E/O circuit. 200 W is the total electrical load capacity for the connected equipment (lighting, heated dive clothing: undersuit, vest, gloves)!
The "charge/light" port is used to charge the Ammonite battery pack and to connect 12V umbilical cable lights. This port is protected by an aluminum cap.
Make sure to protect the port with the cap when it is not being used to charge or power the umbilical light. Diving with an improperly screwed charging port cap will result in the battery flooding and, consequently, damage the battery.
The LED indicator is located on the top cover of the battery and informs the user about the battery charge level and the operational status of the entire system. After turning it on, the indicator lights up for 4 seconds, providing information about the battery charge level:

The three-stage power control (0/70% / 100%) ensures efficient energy management and allows you to extend the battery life for both lights and heaters. The power is regulated by a large magnetic switch, which is easily operable even with thick gloves.
This is an electronic circuit that protects the E/O cable (the metal pins in the E/O cable connector) from the harmful effects of electrolysis. When the Ammonite ACCU THERMO battery pack is not connected to any receiver (e.g., a heated vest), no voltage is present on the wet connector (E/O cable end). Thanks to the "smart E/O" feature, the voltage is automatically deactivated even if the cable is disconnected during operation.
This ensures that whenever the unconnected E/O cable is in water, no electric current flows through its pins, keeping the system safe from damage.
The Ammonite battery pack housing is made from a combination of hard-anodized aluminum and Policatal (POM C), a lightweight polymer extremely resistant to mechanical damage. The aluminum alloy used in ACCU THERMO is lightweight, durable, and resistant to seawater corrosion.
Furthermore, the aluminum components of ACCU THERMO are covered with a protective layer of hard anodization, making the battery even more resistant to wear and mechanical damage. All graphics and inscriptions on the housing are laser-engraved, making them easy to read and highly durable. The ACCU THERMO 14 and 24 canisters are sealed with two O-rings.
All Ammonite ACCU THERMO battery packs are the only batteries on the market equipped with a safety release valve. The safety valve is located at the bottom of the housing and protects the battery from damage. In the event of a Li-Ion battery failure, gas may be emitted, which could cause the battery housing to explode.
The valve is maintenance-free and should not be disassembled. Do not interfere with the operation of the valve in any way.
Every Ammonite System battery pack for lights and heaters is equipped with a battery management system (BMS) that ensures safe operation. The system is necessary because the pack uses Li-Ion cells, which are very sensitive to overcharging, deep discharge, and short circuits. BMS provides additional benefits: it extends the life of the battery cells and maintains a safe minimum charge level.
The transportation of lithium batteries is subject to international regulations, which may vary depending on the mode of transport: by sea, road, or air. To meet transportation safety standards, the lithium-ion (Li-Ion) batteries used in ACCU THERMO comply with the United Nations (UN / DOT 38.3) transport test requirements. The relevant certificate can be downloaded from the Ammonite Dive System website.

The AMMO Lithium Charger is designed for charging the ACCU THERMO series batteries with a voltage of 10.8 – 11.1V. The AMMO Lithium Charger is a universal pulse power source that shuts off when the battery is fully charged.
The charging time depends on the battery pack's charge state. The charge state is displayed on the LCD. Please note that the charger's readings are only approximate. They allow you to determine an approximate battery charge level. The charger is protected against surges that occur in the 100/240V network.
