SHEARWATER TERIC GENUINE SCREEN PROTECTOR

Biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate (PET) films have exceptional mechanical strength, dimensional stability, transparency and chemical resistance.

The Teric screen is synthetic sapphire glass, NOT the typical low cost acrylic or mineral glass found on other dive computers.
Sapphire is one of the hardest substances on earth.
Measure 9 on the Mohs scale, which is a system for assessing the relative hardness of various materials. (The diamond measures 10, the highest score.)
Watch crystals made from synthetic sapphire are described as "very scratch resistant" because they are very difficult, but not impossible, to scratch.
Shearwater does not use a PET screen protector by default to give the user a choice because any additional layer of material on the screen will slightly diminish the intensity and clarity of the OLED display.
